# Routes Mode

Routes mode simulates movement along a path on your iPhone. Instead of changing your location to a single point, your device's location will move along a route over time.

## Switching to Routes Mode

Click the **Route** button in the mode toggle at the top of the map to switch from Static mode to Routes mode. You cannot switch modes while a route is running or while your location is being changed.

## Setting Up a Route

Place start and end markers on the map by clicking the map or by using the search bar at the top to find a location. When you click a search result, it will be assigned to the currently selected pin (start or end).

## Choosing a Travel Mode

Use the **Route Speed** selector on the left panel to choose how your location moves along the route:

* **Walking** — slowest speed
* **Cycling** — medium speed
* **Driving** — fastest speed

## Adding Waypoints

To customize the path your route takes, add up to 10 waypoints using the **+** button in the waypoints section on the left panel. Waypoints can be renamed or removed by clicking the edit button next to the waypoints list.

## Previewing the Route

Click **Preview Route** at the bottom of the map to calculate and display the route. The route will be drawn on the map so you can verify it before starting. There is a short cooldown between previews.

## Starting the Route

Once you have previewed a route, click **Start Route** to begin simulating movement. Your iPhone's location will move along the route in real time at the selected travel speed.

## Stay at End

Check the **Stay at end** checkbox on the left panel before starting a route to keep your location at the destination when the route finishes. If unchecked, your location will be reset when the route ends.

## Resetting Your Location

While a route is running, click **Reset Location** to stop the route and reset your iPhone's location.

<Info>
  After resetting your location, your iPhone may take a few minutes to recalibrate. You can reboot your iPhone to force it to recalibrate.
